A diffi cult one day tour! Long uphill to Refuge Pfnatschalm; fi rst on byroad, then on gravel. Then a long downhill to Hinterreinswald. From Durnholz / Valdurna the second long uphill of the day to the mountain pass Fortschellscharte. Then again a long and varied downhill to Felthurns / Velturno. During the itinerary an unique panoramic view you should not miss.
Starting from the Hotel Unterwirt (850m) in Felthurns/Velturno on the „chestnut trail“ sign no. 12 to farmstead Moar zu Viersch. Continue on the road and then uphill right on gravel road towards Versings/Verdignes (920 m). Cross the town and follow sign no. 1. Turn left and continue on gravel road no. 1 to Latzfons/Lazfons (1.173 m). Turn left and enter the town Mühlbach, turn left and stay on the right until Refuge Untergruber (1.929 m). Continue on unpaved track towards Gfohler Alm, Scholer Bild and then right following sign no. 7 to the alpine pasture Gertrum (2.094 m). Continue on trail no. 11 to the alpine pasture Pichlberg and Refuge Pfnatschalm (2.078 m).
Then a long downhill towards Hinterreinswald until the farmsteads Oberst. Turn right and follow sign no. 22 towards Durnholz/Valdurna. Cross the river and continue alongside the west coast of the lake Durnholz/Valdurna to restaurant Fischerwirt. Uphill on trail no. 5 crossing the fi elds Anger to the mountain pass Fortschellscharte (2.299 m). Downhill on trail no. 5 to Refuge Klausen/Chiusa (1.923 m). Downhill again on unpaved track no. 17 to the parking area Garner Wetterkreuz. Following the unpaved track no. 17 cross the town Schnauders/Snodres, continue until the ski lift. Arrived at the road, turn right towards farmstead Oberfrauner and then right again towards farmstead Tonigmüller and downhill on the blue-white gravel road. Right on the „chestnut trail“ no. 11 driving past Ziernfeld and to the Hotel Unterwirt in Felthurns/Velturno.
